Salman Khan has been asked to apologize by the leader of the Bishnoi community on the Blackbuck affair. On Salman’s behalf, he responded to Somy Ali’s recent apology.
The leader of the Bishnoi community responded to Salman Khan’s public apologies on behalf of his ex-girlfriend Somy Ali, a few days later, with an official statement. According to a report by Live Hindustan, Salman’s involvement in the blackbuck case that began the whole controversy in 1998 will be forgiven by the society, but only if certain requirements are met, according to Devendra Budiya, the president of the All India Bishnoi Society. Nobody else is able to express regret on his behalf.
“If Salman himself apologises, the Bishnoi society will consider the apology as the mistake was not made by Somy Ali, but by Salman,” Devendra Budiya was reported as stating in Hindi. He cannot accept an apology from anyone else. Since forgiveness is one of our 29 rules, our samaj (community) would consider pardoning him if he personally visits the temple and asks for forgiveness. Before we decide to forgive Salman, he should further swear that he would never commit the same error again and that he will endeavor to save the environment and wildlife.”
Concerning the Blackbuck Case of 1998
Salman supposedly went blackbuck hunting at Bawad in Mathania, close to Jodhpur, Rajasthan, during the 1999 filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain, directed by Sooraj Barjatya. In 1998, he was booked with Tabu, Sonali Bendre, and Neelam as co-stars. Salman was also given a five-year severe jail term in 2018, but he was given bail.
The apology from Somy Ali to the Bishnoi community
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Somy shared her worries about Salman’s safety in the wake of the firing incident that happened on April 14 outside his Mumbai house.
“I don’t support hunting as a sport, but this event happened a long time ago,” she stated. In 1998, Salman was a lot younger. I would like to ask the chief of the Bishnoi tribe to put it behind them. If Salman has erred, please accept my apology on his behalf and grant him forgiveness.
“Taking someone’s life, be it Salman or an ordinary common man, is not acceptable,” Somy continued. You should go to court if you want justice. Like in America, I have complete faith in the legal system and attorneys in India. I would like to make a plea to the Bishnoi people, telling them that hurting Salman Khan won’t make the blackbuck return. I can’t undo what has occurred to me, so let the past go. I’ve reconciled with who I am. I have committed my entire life to ending the tears now.
